Take the Pledge – Don’t Text and Drive

In memory of Retired Fire Chief John Bachman we at the Amherst Fire Department would like to announce our renewed commitment to combat distracted driving. It was reported by authorities that texting-while-driving was allegedly a key part in the fatal accident that took Chief Bachman’s life. Such incidents so close to home remind us all of the very real dangers of distracted driving. The Firefighters of the Amherst Fire Department encourage you to join us and to take the pledge to never text and drive.
