Dog Licensing

State of New Hampshire law requires that all owners of dogs four months and older shall annually be registered, numbered, described and licensed in the Town in which the dog is kept. Regardless of when the license is obtained, the license is valid from May 1 of each year to the following April 30.  In accordance with state law, owners must present a valid rabies certificate.

Fees for licensing dogs:

• Puppy (ages 4-7 months) $7.50
• Neutered or spayed dog $7.50
• Intact dog $10.00
• Dog of senior citizen (65+ years old) $3.00 (limit of 1 license at discounted price per citizen)
