History in the Making: Town Hall Renovation

2004 Renovation Work

Phase I Complete

The Phase I work is now done. An open house to celebrate the completion of these renovations is planned for September 20th, 2004. Work will now continue to renovate and update the interior with electrical rewiring, heating and AC, and re-opening the front Door.

Improvements include, a new basement under the original Town Hall, fire sprinklers, a ramp, elevator, and bathrooms compliant with the Americans with Disabilities ACt (ADA). The new basement will be used for a combination of storage, a new conference room and office space that allows for future expansion. The construction leaves the Town Hall still looking much as it did when it was built in 1825.

Pictures of earlier renovation work can be found on the 2003 renovations page.
