PMEC Always Needs Volunteers
Here are Some Ways You Can Help
Are you looking for a way to give back to the community? The PMEC is in need of volunteers to help with a variety of duties. If you have any questions or if you

Building Volunteers: Are you a licensed electrician, plumber, or carpenter? If so, please consider helping us out!
The PMEC is in need of volunteers to assist with the interior of the new building. Help us make the new PMEC a premiere environmental education facility.
Check the PMEC Capital Campaign for details on how to contribute
to this effort with your time, money, or materials.
Craft Materials: Think about "tossing" things our way as you
do your Spring cleaning.
The PMEC is looking for items such as:
Craft supplies - such as yarn, wire, buttons, pine cones, burlap, pipe
cleaners, rubber stamps, stamp pads, seeds.
Nature books, games, videos, puzzles & posters.
Nature magazines for clipping such as Ranger Rick and Big Backyard.
Paper of all types for art classes.
Crayon and candle pieces that can be melted down for new candle making.
Markers, crayons, pencils, scissors.
Magnifying glasses, bug boxes, nets, etc.
If you have items to donate, please place under the table at the top of the
stairs in the Town Hall, or bring to the PMEC after calling 673-1141.

PMEC Camp Councilors: High school student volunteers are needed for the summer
Hartshorn Summer Camp sessions. Look at the Hartshorn schedule to
see which class or classes interest you then look at your family vacation
schedule, and give PMEC a call in the spring. You can also simply
fill out the PMEC student volunteer form to
apply online.
You will be given 17 1/2 hours of community service time a week to fill Souhegan
High School requirements.
You will be expected to arrive 15 minutes before class begins and stay 15
after it finishes, if you are needed to clean up.

PMEC Docents:
We’re looking for nature-loving volunteers interested in assisting with school programs, leading hikes, and presenting at various programs.
Naturalist training will be provided.

PMEC Volunteers:
We are in need of volunteers interested in renting snowshoes, setting up refreshments, greeting PMEC guests, and showing folks around our warming hut.
No environmental or teaching skills required.
