Save The Critters Campaign Launches in 2009

The Friends of Peabody Mill Environmental Center is a small, local, non-profit organization whose goal is to increase community awareness of the center as well as to promote educational activities. We launched our “Save the Critters” fund raiser to help repair and preserve over 30 taxidermy specimens that have been acquired over the years. We will also help with moving the critters from the rafters into new display cases available throughout the building for everyone to enjoy. Our goal is to raise $3000. 

You can help our big moose, the little bear cub ( it is over 100 years old), our birds, the beaver, and others by becoming a member of the Friends or making a donation, just click on the Join the Friends link at the top of the page.

If you are interested in joining the Friends board or helping out with our activities, such as participating in the Milford Trails Expo, July 4th events, our Winter Warm Up or maybe helping with an art show please let us know. The more the merrier!

Friends of PMEC is open to anyone and everyone, you do not need to be an Amherst citizen to join.
