Sally is a member of a family who has been in Amherst for centuries. She is the vice president of Wilkins Lumber Company in Amherst and an author. Among her publications are: Sports and Games in Medieval Culture, Greenwood Press; Temperate Forests, Capstone Press; and Insiders Guide to New Hampshire, Falcon Press. Her interests and activities have focused on agriculture, forestry, conservation, and local history.
