Building Permits Fees

Building Permits and Inspections are required in the Town of Amherst. There is a seven (7) day posting period before the permits are issued and work can begin. The applications and permits are obtained in the Amherst Zoning Office and carry the following fee schedule.

Certificate of Occupancy $27.00
Commercial & Industrial Administration Fee: $107.00 plus
Plumbing, Electrical, Gas Piping, Remodeling (Minor), Area or Remodeling (Major) $38.00 plus $0.239 per sq. ft.
Permit Renewals 1/2 of original permit fee
