Amherst Fire Department's Central Station is home to Engine 1, Engine 3, Tower 1,Tanker 1, Car 1, the rescue boat and the Department's administrative offices.

The Amherst Fire Department is a combination fire department. We cover the community from two fire stations and the Department assists neighboring towns when necessary. Applications for Call Firefighters are always welcome. Call or stop by the Central Fire Station during normal business hours if you are interested in serving your community as a firefighter.
