The Amherst Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at or about 7:00 PM in the second floor Barbara Landry Meeting Room, Town Hall, 2 Main Street, Amherst, NH 03031

Rehearing:  Case  1433:  Lot  21-20-65  Old Coach Lane:  Variance – Jeffery A. and Angela A. Rettig, 9 Old Coach Lane, Amherst, NH 03031 (owners), request a Variance from the provisions of the Amherst Zoning Ordinance Art. IV, Sec. 4.3 Residential / Rural Zone, Subsec. 4.3.3 Yard Requirements, Para. 4.3.3.2, in order to construct a third bay to an existing garage that will be 20.4 feet from the property line (25 feet required). Residential / Rural Zone  

Case  1441:  Lot  17-68  Church St. and Old Jailhouse Rd.:  Variances – MEH Revocable Trust, c/o Michael Jakubens, 2 East Meadow Way, Manchester, NH 03109 (owner), and Highland Construction Corp., POB 304, Amherst, NH 03031-0304 (applicant), request Variances from the Amherst Zoning Ordinance Art. IV, Sec. 4.3 Residential / Rural Zone, Subsec. 4.3.3 Yard Requirements, Paras. 4.3.3.4 and 4.3.3.5. In order that they may construct a new dwelling within the original dwelling footprint with the following exceptions:  1.   The westerly side of the dwelling is to be expanded northerly and then will be within 2.8 feet of the westerly sideline (20 feet only allowed); and 2.  The westerly side of the dwelling is also to be expanded southerly and then will be within 17.5 feet of the westerly sideline (20 feet only allowed); and 3.  The total aggregate area of the proposed dwelling is 3321 sf which is 936 sf more than the original dwelling and makes the floor area ration 41.2% (15% only allowed).  Residential / Rural Zone (Historic District and Aquifer Conservation District overlays)
