Amherst Wetlands

The Amherst Conservation Commission completed an in-depth evaluation of Amherst wetlands an acre or more in size in the summer of 1999. The project was funded in part by a New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services Water Protection Grant, with matching funds from Pennichuck Waterworks and the Conservation Commission. On these pages we share some of what we've learned. We also invite you to share what you know about these wetlands to add to the knowledge compiled by these citizen volunteers. The report completed as a part of this research is available here and at the town library.
