Wilkins Elementary School Grades 1-4 80 Boston Post Road

Amherst and Mont Vernon comprise New Hampshire's School Administrative Unit #39 (SAU 39). Each town provides its own elementary schools and they share the Middle School and Souhegan High School. All SAU 39 schools are administered from the SAU 39 offices at the old Brick School on the Amherst green.

The Amherst PTA is a non-profit organization of interested parents and teachers working together to raise money and to volunteeer to provide Amherst children with innovative programs and up-to-date equipment, facilities, and curriculum.
